Opened in the east village in 2009 this passion project was dedicated to Northern European cuisine. It was one of the first of many restaurants to come as New Nordic took a foothold in the New York market and was praised for its unique and perfectly executed mixology, coffee & bakery, innovative food program and mid-century modern architecture. Receiving **NY Times stars by reviewer Sam Sifton, Michelin recognition and becoming a media darling and progenitor of a new style of restaurants to come.
